About My First Rainbow

Do You Remember the First Rainbow Your Child Drew?

When I was a preschool teacher, I saw countless rainbow drawings.
Simple shapes filled with bright colors—rainbows were always a favorite.
They held something pure: a child’s innocence, and the quiet beauty of nature.

After I became a mother, I found myself waiting for that moment with my own child.
But unlike many children, he wasn’t very interested in drawing.
As time passed, I’ll admit—I felt a little anxious.

Then one day, he handed me a piece of paper.
In one small corner was a tiny rainbow.
Wobbly lines, drawn carefully in his favorite colors.

It was small.
But it has stayed in my heart ever since.

Every child grows at their own pace, in their own way.
And just like that first rainbow, each child’s journey begins quietly—
yet beautifully.

Children don’t need more instructions.
They need space.

Space to sit.
To touch.
To focus.
To drift in and out of play.

My First Rainbow was created to support that rhythm.

We believe growth doesn’t need to be rushed to be real.
And childhood doesn’t need to be filled to be meaningful.

My First Rainbow isn’t about doing more.
It’s about letting childhood be enough.
